benchtop press

During the overhaul of the hydraulic pump I needed a small press for light work. This triggered me to build the press as shown on the photo. It is made of some scrap U steel (5x10cm). Furthermore I obtained 2x 1meter screwrods which I devided in two (M16), M16 nuts, springs and a barreljack (5Tons).

Notes on the construction of the press:
In the top part a central hole (20mm) was bored to support pressing through. The jack was secured with a screw through the bottom part.
