A Dutch Citroën dealer in the 60s often did
not have a showroom to display the new Citroën models
to their customers. For that reason Citroën modified a ship
to act as a floating showroom. The ship visited more than
70 cities in the Netherlands during 1959 and 1960.

A lot of time and effort has gone into this model. So if you like this model please make a donation. The donation will be used to cover the running cost of this website.
The model can be build in a simple form without the interior and without cutting the individual windows. This way the model is more suitable for the inexperienced builders.
If you decide to cut the windows to show the interior then it is advised to use a firm transparent foil for the windows. in the front corner and the rear glass section bend the foil before glueing.
The interior is based on photographs of the actual ship. On the tables several Citroën models were displayed as wel as a 2CV en Panhard engine.
This picture shows a "visitor" looking at the model of the Citroën factory in Paris.
The top deck had space for 4 Citroën cars which were lifted on the boat via the removable rear deck roof. The rear deck housed the new Citroën ID19F Break and inside a Citroën DS a 2CV berline and a 2CV van were placed.
In order to install H0 model cars on the top deck the top deck can be placed without glue.
If you would like to see more of the interior LED lights can be installed in the interior. You can use cheap LED light strips or individual LEDs. I used 5V LED light strips which can be lid with a 5V powerbank.
